Injustice In Malaysia
For a week i've been monitoring the news of Koh Chon Weng being beaten up by the Police, and his arrest. To see it coming up on other blogs, and seing a facebook group (which i've joined) being created specifically for this, it really amazes me how many people in Malaysia share my point of view of what i reluctantly call "my home country". There are videos of his press conference on the internet, and watching him recreate the scenario he was enduring, he had gained my respect, and support, for standing up and going public, to let everyone in Malaysia, and hopefully the whole world, know how shit Malaysia's justice system is.
As i was reading up the comments on the video posted, afew comments were aggaints the police actions (well naturally). And some were just aggaints Malaysia , Malays as a whole, which i wouldn't just agree just like that. I feel those comments needs a little more depth into it.
However, what got my attention was, a comment from a person, who really made me stand up, and just want to say " Hey! you need to check your brains before you speak"
Let me quote:
1st:I'm very sure that there is a valid reason for the actions taken by the police.
Well, first things first, valid reason or not, there is NO NEED to ABUSE someone, a human being, like that.
2nd: Besides he might not even remember the incident correctly under the influence of alcohol.
Hold on a second, if i was pissed drunk, and being knocked the fuck out of me, by the police. I am pretty sure it would be a " GREAT" night to remember.
3rd: those people who are unhappy with Malaysia, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!If you think that the grass is greener on the other side go ahead and start packing. Its a disgrace to have people like you in our country.
This comment made me flip, sorry mate, it is clear to me that you have not stepped out of that shit hole country, because mate, the grass is FUCKING GREENER on the other FUCKING SIDE!! Disgrace to have people like me ? Please, I feel God is punishing me to be born a MALAYSIAN!
4th: Perhaps the country will be better off without you ungrateful bastards.
Better off without us ? Without us who have experience in working in a DEVELOPED country ? An Education Degree in a DEVELOPED COUNTRY ? Have you forgoten, that MALAYSIA no matter how long, will always be a 3rd world country. You may think MALAYSIA has developed, but honestly, think about it, you're runned by 3rd world country politicians. How do you expect MALAYSIA to grow that far ? You're wrong mate, i think i am better off without Malaysia. The United Kingdom has given me more chances, and thaught me more things in my first 9 months here, than i have had in my 20 years of living in MALAYSIA. Now that i am here for nearly two years, I wish i don't have to go back again.
